As Co-founder/Vice-Chairman of Basis’s BIG Foundation, Jones remains dedicated to creating a pipeline of women and diverse groups into commercial real estate, and is committed to creating a more diverse real estate ecosystem by increasing capital access for MWOB firms and introducing underrepresented youth to wealth-building opportunities in the industry.

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of?

As part of a team representing minority-led firms at all levels, Basis recently led the $100M equity investment for the first private residential project at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. The $285Mmixed-use development will bring much-needed affordable housing units, along with luxury and market-rate, to the region.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you most?

I’m inspired most by my late father, a jazz bassist who showed me what pursuing your passion and leaning into your gifts truly meant. Through his lens, I learned to “improv” and pivot quickly –lessons from jazz that shape me as an entrepreneur today.
